Cast Net Memories

I threw a cast net
into the universe
and captured shards
filled with memories
that made me who I am today.
You threw a cast net into the ocean
and caught fish flailing
dancing for your mercy
and their freedom.
I told you things and waited
for you to exhale when
I saw you hold your breath.
I danced in your light
standing away from the shadow
letting you in to the insecurities
and ugliness
I didn't fear your judgement
I only feared that your love
would wilt and die away.

  1. I feel the tension of waiting and letting our loved one come up for air, filled with their own wisdom ~ Some shadows & challenges do make us stronger ~

Have a good day Ayala ~

  3. Myself judges me harshly, so that she has learned not to judge. And Ayala, I have learned that in real love is trust--an absence of fear. Hard to come by, easier to lose, and SO difficult to renew, but God's Power is not to be limited...kike your poem, it says so much to so many!

  4. this says so much Ayala! The universe the ocean two elements so very similar and we put out our wishes, desires, hopes and dreams and throw them to the stars then catch whatever comes back to us in hopes that we find a love that lasts forever. Just beautiful!

  6. Very nice. If you share insecurities with someone, and they treat them with trust and respect, that is a person you want to keep in your life. This is a true friend, perhaps a soulmate.

  7. We are blessed when we can find someone we can be totally honest, especially when it concerns our weaknesses. "I didn't fear your judgement / I only feared that your love / would wilt and die away" - beautiful lines.

  21. Yes, let's capture those shards and bring the universe into one, again. The concept of tikkun is so powerful and at the moment seems so unreachable.
