The Ceiling

We float through clouds
red crimson sunrise
heavenly sunsets.
Cobalt waters,
budding green fields,
we are consumed by the magic.
We lie on the floor,
our senses sweeping us away,
like waves in the ocean.
Childlike we float even though
our feet are grounded.
We feel the butterflies of our soul
take flight,
inspired by beauty and grace.

Last week on our trip to Seattle we were amazed at the Dale Chihuly Museum which took our breath away.
My son and I were on the floor taking in the Persian Ceiling which was simply gorgeous.
Meet us here http://dversepoets.com/ where we share our thoughts and our hearts.

  4. Must have been so mesmerizing ayala! It would be fun to see. With feet firmly on the ground however one maintains reality. Beautiful take!

  5. Chihuly glass is beautiful to behold. We have a bit of it in our museum here too. I like 'butterflies of our soul take flight.' Indeed that is what happens when one is surrounded by / inspired by beauty!

Indeed I can see why! Your words and images have captured it well. Lovely!

  19. How amazing it must have been, to lie down on the floor and stare up into the ceiling. They say that every piece of art has a bit of the artist hidden away in itself - and maybe, the painters of the mural also stopped at that moment, and stared back at you while you lay there watching them and their work...

I've been reading too much Billy Collins, I think. This was quite an amazing read!

  21. I could not wait...had to first go to Dale Chihuly Museum, so I just DID "see" the Persian Ceiling...and SOmuch more. Just beauty all OVER the place. Upon leaving that place you could NOT avoid being lifted spiritually. The "created's" creations arewell, out of this world. Thanks for this experience, Ayala!
    PEACE and LIGHT!
