A New Life-Nephew

I welcomed you
with a smile.
My heart trembling,
my eyes filled with tears.
New life
that connects us.
Little angel,
you have a new slate,
to make your mark,
to dream out loud.
I wonder if old soul
is in your spirit.
I wonder if you are someone
I loved before
as I love you this moment we meet.
When I look into your eyes
will our souls recognize ,
rejoice,
reunite.
