Home Again

My thoughts dancing again and again.
My heart longing to see you,
my prayers wishing you home safe.
As I hear the key turn,
I run with my open arms.
My son, now, a grown man
but to me my baby boy.

I watch you with great pride,
time stands still, time is flying.
You touch lives, you lift spirits.
We engage in conversation for hours,
your brown eyes capture my soul.
My arms, my spirit loving you.
So good when you are home.

  4. This is very sweet, and true, Ayala. I don't know from a Mom's perspective yet, but I know how much I LOVE visiting my parents. And, they love to see me, and maybe a little bit more - LJ!

  5. This almost brings tears to my eyes. It makes me think of the years to come and how I know they are going to go by so fast and how my baby boy all sweet and funny and tumbly will someday be a man, grown and strong, yet still my boy.

  7. This is so beautiful. Mine are still small, so I don't need to let them go yet. It's at once scary and wonderful to know that it won't get any easier to do it when they are grown.
