The Blushing Moon

The lizard tells me tales
about the dragonfly
while it chases shadows
under the palm trees.
The worms are crawling
in the mud
whispering about last night.
We gazed at the sky
and we watched
 the lunar eclipse mesmerized.
Holding the lens
capturing the
 blood moon blushing.
The color vibrant,
and our hearts open.
There is a silent truth
in moments like these.
I watch you immersed
 in wonder
and the stillness
and magic
of it all
 saturates my being
with gratitude
and celebration.

My son Daniel and I set our alarm clock to 3:15 A.M and we watched
with wonder the blushing moon. Sweet moments of life.

  9. I could not sleep--went for VERY early scooter ride. Unexpected sight was AWESOME, I tell you. My jaw dropped, I pulled to roadside, and just realized how wonderful it all is, the countless spheres threading themselves eon after eon through the firmament...

Ayala, you both were blessed to witness, and so was I..After reading about this, it was the first of FOUR, each six months after the other. How truly mind-boggling!

  21. Beautiful. And beautiful moments to share. My daughter and I stayed up until 3 checking the cloudy skies. We never saw the eclipse, but we had some giggles anyway. Late hours will do that to you. :)
