Modern Pace

The light enters through the window,
my heart captures a magical moment.
The sun bathes me with love,
for a moment my spirit soars.
Modern life a fast pace journey,
our time misspent, we seek balance.
Pieces of ourselves scattered here, there.
We juggle days, we juggle lives,
we run and chase unattainable dreams.
We need to look within ourselves,
climb out of the walls of
our heart, to receive our desire.
To find peace, to find love,
leave our fingerprint here and now.

  2. Look within to see what goodness that lays dormant. Latent power can bring surprises.

  6. i like how you had the pieces of ourselves spent here and there
and then you came back to that image, only deeper, with the end. i only noticed that on the second read. i felt it on the first, cause i just read to read on the first read.
    really good stuff:)

  18. Our time misspent - what a sad truth. It's amazing how we fracture ourselves to keep pace, isn't it? But being here now, laying hands on the present, that's wholeness.

  19. Funny to me that as we seek this 'elusive' balance, we are loathe to let go of things that throw it off. Those quiet, sunlit moments when we stop and listen to ourselves are so precious. You're writing is always a sunlit moment for me. With your words I slow down, reflect, listen. Thank you!

  25. I fear that I leave fingerprints
just everywhere, but messily: smudges, misprints!

Ah, to be intentional AND adept!
That may be my unattainable dream. ;)

  28. "We juggle days. We juggle lives." Yes, and we need a little more time reflecting on what's truly important.

  29. I like the way your piece eases in with a sunlit magical moment, then segues into the frenetic ways of modern life, then, in a artful way, comes full circle to peace and love. Wonderful.
