Destiny

I found you in a cave
lost and wandering,
I fetched stars from the sky
to light your way.
You were juggling the past
and the present,
you were recycling your dreams.
I peeled away the layers of yesterday,
and soaked your scars in the moonlight.
I asked you to see your reflection
in the ocean,
find your way,
illuminate your soul.
Trust that this is your journey to travel,
believe that you are meant to live,
to love,
to be right here in this moment.

    1. Thank you, Kelvin...I believe this poem is universal because we have all been at a crossroad when we wonder, is this where we should be and is this what we should be doing. :)

  21. This entire poem is really resonating with me right now. If I were to have a meeting with my inner self...this is how it would go. Especially the juggling the past and the present & recycling dreams part. I LOVE this. Thank you for writing it. That may not be its intention, but that's how I'm feeling it! :)

  33. So many strong images to enjoy here - it's impossible to pick a favourite.

However, I think that a little work with the editor's red pen might strengthen an already good poem.

Like Brian, my wife found me in a metaphorical cave and took the time to coax me out... I can never thank her enough for that.

Best 3 lines in the poem, They are quite provocative and highly charged, but also peaceful at the same time. Nice work.
